Getting There

 

There are 2 basic ways of travelling to North Cyprus

  1. Travel from Heathrow, Gatwick or Stanstead to Ercan airport. This is in North Cyprus, but flights at present have to go via mainland Turkey which adds about an hour to the flight time. You can then pick up a North Cyprus hire car from the airport. Journey time from Ercan to West Beach Haven is approx. 1 hour.


  2. Travel from any regional airport on a charter flight or from Heathrow on a scheduled flight to Larnaca airport in Southern Cyprus. Pick up a hire car there to travel north. You will need to buy extra insurance at the border (about £15) and check with your hire car company that this is ok as not all let you do this. Journey time to the border is 50 mins and then another 50 mins the other side to West Beach Haven.

Please Note: You can take a hire car from the south to the north, but you cannot take a car hired in the north across the border to the south.
